HOMESCHOOL TEENS
4 week Workshops
This is a great opportunity for homeschool students to learn and experience real studio art.
Taught by Lee Taylor gallery owner, artist and former art educator with 20 years experience.
Every Wednesday 11am-12:30pm
Cost: $160 pp, all supplies included.
Each 4 week session will explore a different medium, so students can continue their art education while exploring the Elements of Art, The Principles of Design and their application.
FALL SESSION SCHEDULE:
Sept. 2026: 9th, 16th, 23st, 30th
Focus on following specification guidelines to enter an art show. This real world application runs parallel to our current call to art for our 12x12 show. While the size is specific, the subject matter isn't. Each student is free to create whatever their heart's desire, as long as they meet the specs. 2D or 3D.
Oct. 7,14,21, 28th
Focus on creating a self portrait sculpture using the exact same armatures: a small gatorade bottle.
This theme keeps students focused on creating the same the type of art, using the same materials while simultaneously being creative with expressing "self."
Nov. 4, 11, 28, Dec. 9th
Portrait study continues but with paint.
Focus on color. Using the calendar where Fall and Winter collide for our inspiration, each student may choose either "warm" or "cool" palette, and paint a person or pet portrait.
