I love being a clay artist!

I was born and raised in rural, old Florida (six generations from Citrus County).

While studying art at the University of Florida, I signed-up for a clay class and that’s all it took. Clay has been my medium of choice ever since.

Clay can be a 3-D or 2-D medium; touch it, sculpt it, draw on it, paint it, build with it - what fun! Clay is also quite challenging. The work only reveals itself after the final firing. Opening the kiln is always an exciting experience. I am now almost a full-time artist, after retiring from teaching art in the Florida public school system for 36 years.
