Kayce was born and raised in Appalachia during the 50's and 60"s where classrooms held three grades each. In her first school year, she watched in awe as an older student magically drew a tea kettle. Fascinated and inspired, she pestered her classmate to teach her how.
Many would consider her early schooling among the real disadvantages of growing up in isolated Appalachia. Instead, time spent with older children as well as elders common in those times, was the beginning of her many years creative journey: trying to draw a better tea kettle
Kayce's love for drawing and painting is matched only by her love for nature and animals. Especially horses. Mainly self taught, early on she turned her artistic efforts to represent on paper and canvas the most beautiful of God's creatures. Today, she lives on her farm in Alachua county. Florida, inspired by her horses and making her own bit of magic.
