OUT OF OUR HANDS GALLERY welcomes submissions for their MAKING MUSIC EXHIBITION. This juried competition is seeking artworks that capture the joy of music. Open to 2D and 3D visual artists.
ACCEPTED ARTWORK
OUT OF OUR HANDS GALLERY invites submissions across various mediums and styles. 2D mediums such as painting, drawing, pastels, inks, pencil, printmaking, encaustic, fabric, and mixed media. 3D art such as relief, pottery, sculpture, metal, paper, wood, stone, fiber, plastics, glass, ceramics, or any other material suitable for 3-dimensional artistry. SORRY NO PHOTOGRAPHY, DIGITAL ART, OR VIDEO ACCEPTED.

Oct. 7th: Deadline for entries midnight
October 14th: Notification of acceptance by midnight
October 16-19: Accepted artwork due; 10-5pm, after hours by appointment
November 2: Exhibition opens
November 2: *Reception 6-9pm
November 30: Exhibition closed
Dec. 2-7 : ArtworkPickup: 10am-4pm( please note: Friday Dec. 6th is the Downtown Christmas Parade at 7pm, street closures begin at 4pm)
ELIGIBILITY
All works entered must be original concept and design. No giclees. (Ink jet prints).
All work must have been created in the last 36 months.
Artists must be 18 or older to submit.
2D work: Must be properly framed with wire attached for hanging. No sawtooth hangers. Gallery wrapped canvases with finished edges are acceptable. Maximum framed width no larger than 48".
3D work: Maximum size 48”. Stands or bases are allowed when needed and will be returned to the artist.
ENTRY FEES
The entry fee per artwork is $15 each or 3 for $40.
All fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Artists may submit up to 3 entries. None, one, or all may be chosen for the exhibition.
IMAGE REQUIREMENTS
JPG Files should be titled in the following format:
Artist's Name, Art Title, Dimensions, Price
EXAMPLE: JohnBrown_Midnight_8x8_$200
- Image size should be up to 2.0 MB in JPG format
- Image should not contain any frame, mat, backgrounds, or watermark.
Images that do not follow this format will not be considered for the juried competition.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USAGE RIGHTS:
The following terms and conditions outline the agreement between the artist and
Out of Our Hands Gallery regarding the usage rights of submitted artwork:
- By submitting their artwork to any competition hosted on our website (outofourhandsgallery.com), artists acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined herein.
- Out of Our Hands Gallery is authorized to utilize the submitted images solely for marketing, promotional, and display purposes related to competitions hosted on our website or within the gallery.

The artist grants permission for Out of Our Hands Gallery to archive selected artwork as part of the exhibition, which will be publicly accessible for viewing on our website.
- The artist retains all copyrights to any images they submit to Out of Our Hands Gallery.

Submitted images shall not be resold or exchanged from the website. Any images displayed on the website or within the gallery may not be reproduced or used in any manner without explicit permission from Out of Our Hands Gallery and the respective artist.
- No insurance is provided for any artwork in the exhibit and is the sole responsibility of the artists. Submission of work constitutes an agreement in which the artist agrees to hold harmless Out of Our Hands Gallery from any liability in connection with the works of art while on exhibit except for gross negligence.
All boxes in the application form must be completed and the boxed checked, for accepting the Terms and Conditions at the end of the form to proceed to payment.
SALES
All work that is shown must be for sale. Our commission split of 60/40. The Artist will receive 60% of the sales price.
JUDGING CRITERIA
Originality, interpretation, quality of artwork, demonstration of artistic ability, and usage of medium.

Elena has a Master of Fine Arts degree from Boston University in figurative sculpture and drawing. Her glass works are versatile, functional and sculptural, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”

*RECEPTION
Saturday, November 2st, 6-9pm at Our of Our Hands Gallery. This will be a catered event with live music (of course!). Artists are strongly encouraged to attend and bring family and friends.
DELIVERY OF ARTWORK
The artist is responsible for covering shipping or delivery expenses to the gallery. Artwork not picked up by the specified date will incur a holding fee of $5 per day. If an artist wishes to have their artwork shipped back to them after the exhibition concludes, they must provide a prepaid shipping return label.
